Standardizing The Cell Phone Charger Portland

By Douglas Ross

For most people, their cellphone is almost an extension of themselves. They are convenient and mobile, which means they are battery-powered. What if you forget to recharge, or are away from a source of electricity for hours or even days? Many have turned to solar cell phone charger Portland to fill in the power gaps, but have found that there are some downsides to these devices. Simply put, they often don't work as well as you would like. There are some standouts in this product line, however.

Solar cellphone charging systems consist of small solar panels that charge the telephone's battery over a period of time, just as a 12v solar panel trickle charges a car's battery. The most common styles are windmill, folding and pocket-sized.

How does USB standardize charging systems? USB cellphone charging aplliances are awesome because they usually come with the new telephones that are coming out. There are two options on the new chargers to charge with USB. The first way is that USB charging devices can plug in the wall jack and then it plugs into your telephone. Easy enough right? Well even better you can take the usb cable out of the charging system and plug it into your work, home, or mobile laptop computer and it will charge your cellphone!

This standardizes cellphone charging because you can plug your phone usb cable into any computer or usb wall jack. This is definitely standardized by moving to USB technology; however the plug connector into the cellphone is still not standardized. Even though you are using USB you still have to have the right USB cable that has the right connector for your phone. We are sure this standardization is coming very soon.

Great coverage in your warranty will allow you to relax in the fact that the company feels confident about their products, and you can have confidence if you need to use a charging device in the event of an emergency. If you like to travel off of the beaten path but still need to be connected to the rest of the world you will need a cellphone solar charging equipment.

Most solar chargers for cellphones also allow you to use an electrical outlet and/or your vehicle to cut down on the charge time. That's because using the sun to charge your phone may be green but it is also very slow-sometimes twice the amount of time is needed to charge a cellphone this way than in the conventional manner. The charging device must also be in the sun the entire time, or the charge time will be longer still.

Almost every solar power cellphone charging equipment I viewed could be used to recharge other accessories such as MP3 players, Kindle, iPods and various gaming devices. Some come with adapters for charging different devices and brands of cellphones, so check in advance whether a specific charging device will work with your particular phone.

I also came across a June 2011 CNET review regarding cellphones that have a built-in solar charging panel on their covers. The idea seems like a good one, but the reviewer noted that the design results in a much bulkier phone as well as a bulked-up price. These also don't work very well through glass, and are more difficult to position correctly. The technology is fairly new, though, so perhaps improvements will show up soon.
