Leadership is derived from so many factors. In order to become a successful spearhead and run a tight ship, you have to listen to your employees and give them an opinion. Despite your employees not believing in how you do business, you need to be confident in your work methods regardless. If you want to be respected as the boss, you have to be willing to respect your subordinates too. The fact that they are at a lower work level than you shouldn t matter. Should one of your workers fall ill, you can order some flowers to have delivered at the hospital or in their home. If you won t be able to personally go and check up on them, small gestures can work on your behalf. When you show your employees that you are a concerned manager, they will also do their bit to meet you halfway as a boss.

It is impossible to always maintain your target and reach your goals as an organization. However, regardless of how somber the mood might be due to poor performance, motivation is still required especially coming from top level. A few words of encouragement can go a long way in a demotivated team.

It is very important to give employees rewards and incentives. This doesn t only make them happy because they getting money but it also makes the staff feel appreciated for the effort they put it. Furthermore, as a boss, you should give your personnel the income that they deserve. A happy worker makes coming to report for duty less frustrating.

The fact that you are the head of the department is known and often respected by everybody who works with you and reports to you. Having the bossy attitude and making employees feel less of themselves is not the way to go if you want to have a great team. Furthermore, don t disregard the ideas of staff and force them to only value your opinion.

Education and training can t be overemphasized. If you want your employees to excel in their profession, you have to take them to train and encourage them to further their studies. Having management support will show the workers that their bosses genuinely care about their careers and have their best interest at heart.
